Joe Conley: Home

Mix before mastering - November 2, 2009

The mixing of Sad Songs For Happy People is underway. Seven songs more or less done:

Better Place Now
Super Girlfriend
I Met Her on the Internet
Will You Say I Do?
Heartache
Queen of the Afternoon
My Wife Loves Me, Why Won't You?

The feedback is unanimously extremely positive! (Well, there's just the one instance so far--from a stranger, that is--but the songs just went up on myspace last night.)

Idealist or Political Hack? - September 30, 2008

CD Recording Underway - June 7, 2008

The CD project goes on. Title: "Sad Songs For Happy People." Instruments so far: rhythm guitar, electric guitar, and some fiddle, mandolin, and banjo. Going for an alt-country/alt-bluegrass/alt-folk sound. More recording soon, with some dobro and then vocals.
